squirrels eating plastic

What squirrels should be eating … and what they are eating. Thanks to  Harry Shuldman for this great picture …..

squirrel in Wash. Sq. Park forcing a wadded up plastic bag down its throat

In his own words… “squirrel in Wash. Sq. Park forcing a wadded up plastic bag down its throat. I tried to shoo him away to stop him from eating the bag, but he was determined to finish it. This is why you need to throw your trash in the trash!”

Of course, as we would say, boycott the filthy stuff.

Every year plastic is implicated in the death and crippling of animals worldwide

Check out the Flickr Plastic Is Rubbish photo pool.. for some really fantastic pictures of plastic polltuion.

Inspiring change and seeking your support

    Effort for change!
In honor of Earth Day 2013 (4/22), it is my intention to collect 1 million signatures asking The White House to stop using single-use plastic water bottles.

Can you help by signing the petition yourself and asking others in your extensive circles to do the same?

    Petition: http://www.change.org/petitions/stop-using-plastic-water-bottles-at-the-white-house?utm_campaign=share_button_action_box&utm_medium=facebook&utm_source=share_petition

    Small changes, big impact.
    In service & deeply grateful,
    Kristi Lee

“Change will not come if we wait for some other person or if we wait for some other time. We are the ones we’ve been waiting for. We are the change that we seek.” President

Great project – will feature it more fully when I get some quality internet time. In a ranky café with a sticky key board and money running out.
