About Compostable Plastics
Compostable plastics come in various forms and could replace most non biodegradable plastics. You can read all about compostable plastics here
Home Compostable?
Many products ( especially compostable plastics), have been tested under industrial composting conditions. Therefore, while a product might be classed as both biodegradable and compostable, it might not break down in a backyard compost bin.
That said I have composted many such products in my own bin.

I wish this kind of thing was avaliable for every type of phone, not just the big names such as Apple and Huawei. I got myself a cheap Sony Xperia L3, which I’ve been using for years; I am not going to throw it away until using it becomes a pain, after which I hope to replace it with a Fairphone 3 (outdated, but cheap; performance is unnecessary).
I really wish every phone case was made like this. But no government has decided to go all out on plastic. I wish every government had something I call a Ministry of Sustainable Materials, so they see every product and think of ways to replace the nasty plastic in it or reduce its impact. I imagine a world where the only plastic is electronic devices and Lego pieces; nobody throws those to the landfills as far as I know.
