I know you family types need to plan ahead so, lets get ready for,…ooooooooo…….halloween….

Well my nasty little ghouls and ghosties you will be getting no plastic wrapped sweeties if you call at my house….. but maybe, just maybe, if you come carrying one of these plastic free trick or treat bags I might not turn the power hose on you.

WHAT??

Thats not unreasonable.

These lovely reusable cotton bags are designed by a UK artist and sold on Etsy.

You can buy loose unwrapped sweets in Huddersfield Queensgate Market.

You can get other more plastic free party bags and eco toys to go in them over here at www.littlecherry.co.uk

BLOG STATS As of 01.29.2017 onward have been counting the number people who have read each post. WHY CUT PLASTIC About 100 million tons of plastic are produced each year and much of it is used to make one-use, disposable items. Because plastic doesn't biodegrade these items, though only used for moments can last for decades, centuries, possibly forever. We are creating ever lasting rubbish in unsustainable amounts. It is polluting the environment, maiming even killing animals, poisoning fish and may be poisoning us.

  1. No I havent heard of Green Halloween.I’ll hoof off to google now. I just found out about scrap stores recently as well…what a great idea! Thanks for dropping by and hope you have a spookylicious halloween Pamx

  2. What a great idea! With three kids we love doing the Halloween thing. In the past we have used our local scrapstore to make decorations but I have always worried about the ‘treat’ thing as it’s not dissimilar to the whole party bag thing. Unwrapped sweets is a good idea or – if we have the time and energy – some spooky cupcakes/biscuits Also have you come across Green Halloween which is a US based organisation that aims to promote healthier and more sustainable Halloween products?
